This is the before...
and this is the after...
Xi enjoyed walking around the grounds and of course went straight for the water.
I did a little shopping while waiting for them to install the awning. Bought a shirt for Xi Shi that says "I Love Camping" and a doggie water bottle. Looked real hard at the electric bikes but decided against purchasing just yet. It took 2 hours and then we were on our way back home.
I've had the oil changed and fluids checked as well as the tires inflated so I'm ready to go.
My planned date of departure for Texas was December 1st but am thinking of leaving a few days earlier.
Happy Thanksgiving. Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteHi Teri... Thanks - and wishing you a great Turkey Day as well.
DeleteNice awning!! I should be in TX about the 5th or 6th. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Chris... If I leave a few days earlier than planned, that will be about the same time I will get into Texas. The weather forecast gives rain for Monday and Tuesday so I may leave Wednesday - a week from today. Got lots of packing to do but am excited about the trip.
DeleteSaw my doctor yesterday and had blood work done and got the results today. Everything is fine. My A1c blood sugar test went from a 6.7 to 6.0 which is "manageable diabetes" and he was very pleased with my weight loss. I'm 20 pounds lighter than I was when you last saw me. He says that if I continue to shed the weight I will get my A1c number lower and possibly no longer be considered diabetic. I'm hoping I can get off the meds and control with diet. That's my goal.
Have a wonderful and safe trip.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving
Hi Jo... Thanks - am looking forward to having some turkey.
DeleteYour new awning looks great - I think it's just like mine. I've only had it out once, to see what it looks like and if there was any mold on it from disuse, but it looked great. I was happy that it looked so pretty, and still brand new.
ReplyDeleteAren't those electric bikes something? I investigated them before I started fulltiming but decided I didn't want to carry one around with me. I need to walk for the exercise, but still, it would be nice to have one.
Hi Barbara... Aren't those blue awnings pretty? I use my awning a lot when I go to the beach. Those bikes are nice. I found one I really like but it is not at Camping World. I also found a cargo rack with a ramp that would attach to my hitch on the back so I wouldn't have to tow a trailer to carry the bike. The cost is what's holding me back. The bike is $1200 and the cargo rack is $900. I'll keep dreaming for now.
DeleteHow heavy are those bikes? Are you talking the bicycle looking ones that are powered by a battery pack? I carry a bike carrier on my ladder, but it does get difficult managing the weight of a regular bicycle lifting it on the carrier. Awning looks good -- looks like mine ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Port A when you get there.
