THE DOGS APPROVED THE CO-PILOT SEAT EXTENSION

Bought a new, larger doggie bed at Petco for Xi Shi and now the little dog can have the smaller one.  Took them for a ride in the RV to see how they would do in the shared seat.

Cha Bu still wanted to get into the bed with Xi Shi.  I had to place her in the smaller bed several times before she got the idea that that was now her bed.  Xi really likes the larger bed and was ready to go... as always.

Nope... you can't fit.

She just can't be still.

Half in... half out...

Can I just keep this one leg in..... ?

OK... I get it.

Some of those beds are really expensive but I found this one for less than $20.00.

Hopefully we will be camping in a week or so.  That will be the big test to see if they will stay in each their own bed while I'm driving.

    1. Hi Michelle... It amazes me how the eyes of the Shih Tzu are so different from one another. My two babies have very different eyes. Xi Shi's eyes are more human like and Cha Bu's eyes are more Asian like. I just love Shih Tzus.

  4. I cleared off my passenger seat yesterday and bought a little dog booster car seat at Petco. It immediately came apart and I returned it today. It's time Katie rode up front with me, but when I started out and hit the brakes, she and her bed just flew into the dash. Luckily she wasn't hurt, but she didn't want to sit on the seat again and has been riding back on the dinette seat staring at me or out the window since then.

    1. Hi Barbara... I have cloth seat covers so the doggie bed has never slipped off. Now that the 2 beds are wedged together and against the dash there is no chance of that happening.

Poor little Katie. I don't blame her for not wanting to sit there again. There is a pet carrier that allows the pet to sit up front and it attaches to the back of the passenger seat so it can't fly off when braking. It's sort of like a basket. Katie might like something like this:

    1. Hi Jo... Yes, she is - and I love that about her. She is so different from her big sister. She is going on 3 years old but still acts like a young puppy.
